I only have 600 rounds through mine, but so far, no problem.

around 1000 rounds thru my PM9.....the only problem I've had when it was new was the slide would not go into battery, it seemed stuck at one point on the frame. that only happened around 3 times probably coz the gun is so tight. It has been perfect ever since.

I only know what I've read about them here and on other sites online, but the consensus seems to be that the polymer Kahrs are really stiff initially, and you need to either do a really thorough fluff-n-buff right away, fire at least 3-500 rounds through it as a break in, or some combination of the two. I haven't read about anyone who has done either of those things having any problems thereafter.

And I've been paying attention, because the PM9 is what I want as my BUG / pocket gun as soon as I can afford it. Think of this as nothing more than a summary of what I've read over the last 3 months, and realize that I certainly haven't read everything or talked to everyone... But I'll be getting one.

Put only 250 rounds through my P40, but not a single malfunction yet. I've had it only for a couple weeks, but the round count will go up sharply. I'll get back to you on that. I'm also very interested as I love the feel of the p40. I may get a P9 for my dad and a PM9 for a pocket gun if they hold up well.

Anyone with a 2000+ rounds polymer framed Kahr?

I don't believe there has ever been a gun that everyone has agreed 100% on.
I know every one I've purchased has had some folks saying "don't buy it."

After a long time, I finally purchased my PM9 (SN VD06**), and its a keeper!

The PM9 is my first and, thus far, only CCW to date. Several hundred rounds through it with no problems. It is a firearm worth every penny you'll pay for it.

I've got close to 3600 rounds through mine that I know of. I bought it used from someone on here who documented over 3200 rounds through it and since then I've put it through my own paces. It probably has a lot more than that though because the guy I bought it from had bought it used himself. Also my PM9 has that little U on the frame labeling it as being sold used initially so who knows how many total rounds the frame has handled. The only things that I've done is get replacement recoil springs and replace the mag catch with an updated metal one. It's been beat up, but it works which is all I ask it to do.

    thanks

Hey everybody, thanks for the input, and if you haven't chimed in yet , please do. I talked to a guy at the local gun shop and he's never heard of any problems with the frames(he even own one himself) . I think I'm going to get one, use part of our tax refund, or maybe I can put it on the old credit card now, and then pay it off, hmmm......

Everything I've read indicates that the frame isn't going to be the issue, but you'll want to change all the springs a bit more frequently than you would on larger guns. The suggestion I saw here and some other places was every ~1000 rounds.

I've put 400 or so through it, but got it secondhand with an unknown history - probably not shot much by the PO.

    No issues.
