    Smile New Carry

While I am very fond of my XD45 Service, there are times it isn't as easy to conceal, i.e. light clothing, no jacket, etc. So, after looking at all the options and handling just about everything available, I settled on an XD 9mm Sub-compact. It fit the bill perfectly.

Congrats on the new XD! It's always to your advantage when you stay with the same platform.

    Howdy from No Dak

I've been carrying my XD's this winter. As far as I'm concerned the XD platforms are the best Combat Tupperware out their.

Wise choice. With all the over-yaking, part-time, gun opinionaters out here in cyberland...you STILL don't hear many negatives about the XD platform. And Springfield Customer Service means exactly that - Customer Service. You've done well, enjoy!

Congrats on your new XD. I did pretty much the same thing. Have had the service 45 for awhile and wanted something a bit smaller to conceal easier, so I picked up a 9SC.

Fun little thing to shoot isn't it? Enjoy.

i have an XD40 service and while around the house breaking in my crossbreed supertuck, its fine as long as i dont have to bend over, if i bend over, i cant find a good position where the grip wont print, so i just got on springfields website and jotted down the moddle number for an XD9SC with night sights to go talk to a dealer about ordering :)

That's what counts - it fits the bill. I also wentt with an XD SC 9. After trying several different guns at the range, it is the one I feel most confident in my ability to hit what I'm shooting at.

Ever try appendix carry? My 9SC is easy to carry that way and virtually invisible.

I have a crossbreed too. It is the most comfortable but the grip does show from time to time.

For those of you with Crossbreeds where the grip is printing some, have you considered moving the clips around for more cant?

On my CTAC at the max adjustments the heel of my Cz 75B still printed. I placed the holster and pistol in my waistband without using the clips. Maneuvered it into a comfortable position, as low as possible and where I could still get a full grip. I used a white crayon to mark the holster body where the beltline sat. Then with the holster off and using a flexible ruler in place of a belt, moved the clips to that position. Reset the clips there and it's worked great.

The other day I did more adjustments with my crossbreed (after reading the high ride holster thread in here). Lowered it significantly and did even more cant. It is now completely different. My XD9SC conceals better and is even more comfortable.

Conrats on that XD 9 sub. Got one a few weeks ago and I am very happy with this pistol. Great thing about it is that you can put in the extended mag(16 rounder) and works like a full size. Purchased the pierce grips and it makes a big differance when using the 10 round mag.
