Is Kel-Tec building the LCP for Ruger? It looks like a P3AT with different checkering on the frame.

Negative. The LCP is slightly different in dimension and weight. Kel-Tec screwed up by never patenting the design, so they only have themselves to blame. Hopefully I get my LCP in March when they start fulfilling orders.

I probably would have bought one IF it had been available when I was looking for a super small carry pistol.

Since it was not, I carry a P3AT and have shot my particular gun more than enough to be fully confident in it with both WWB and DoubleTap Gold Dots.

Thanx EW3. I am interested in the LCP. I need a pocket auto for summer. I owned a Kel-Tec P3AT a few years ago and it was a piece of junk. I have high hopes for the LCP.

If I ever have the opportunity to shop for a BUG or "when I'm not carrying" gun, I think I'm going to get this puppy.

Make a nice mate for my SR9 :)

I too made the mistake of buying a P3AT, which turned out to be junk. Judging by that video, I think we are all in for a nice surprise.

Like I said, I'd be very nervous over at Kel-Tec right now.

wow...my kel tec never runs like that....time for a trade in...I don't think ruger would make a firearm that is unreliable....
YUP I think the folks at keltec may be a little nervous....and rightfully so.

Looks like a direct competitor for Keltec. I notice they only seemed to be shooting FMJ bullets. Wonder how the Ruger does running HP's?

The little Ruger has been the buzz of the Shot Show and gun forums.
However, in my area two Dealers that sell a lot of guns never heard of it, or had any customers ask about a Ruger .380.

Of course, few people around here even know what a CZ is.
