I got a strange and awesome call this morning from my local S.O. I had a S&W mod 469 9mm (mini gun) stolen way back in Sept of 1996. The call this morning was from a deputy asking if I had ever found the weapon or sold it. It was recovered in Monroe, LA by the PD over there. The deputy that called actually used to live down the street from me. They finally tracked down my cell # thru another deputy that is a friend of mine. Looks like I will actually get my gun back after 11 1/2 yrs. It was a sweet shooter (as best i can remember).
My question is--does anyone on this forum have one and use it for your primary or secondary CCW?
I'm hoping it doesn't take too long to get it back. Also hoping it is in fairly good condition. They recovered it because a non-LEO 'dufus' walked into the PD with it strapped on his hip. Of course they took the weapon and ran the serial#. Now Billy Bob Dumb is charged w/ possession of a stolen firearm.
See The laws do work, and sometimes in our favor.
Of course it is possible that Billy Bob is not the thief and had purchased your (stolen) gun from another. Innocent until proven guilty.
Glad you got it back.

Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.
Even blind hogs find an acorn every now and then. You are lucky my friend.
What is the back story to the theft?
I saw that story on the local news. The guy was a bail bondsman from MS. Looks like he may be needing his own services now.
The story I saw said he was from Byrum, MS.

Congratulations on getting your pistol back!
We had a break in in 1987 and had one gun stolen that was not in the safe. It was a S&W Model 49 Bodyguard. I've always wondered if it was ever found and the authorities didn't contact me.

I carry a Colt Delta Elite 10mm in Milt Sparks VM2 with 2 extra magazines on my belt. This is normally worn on a belt under my bib overalls and works great for me. My wife carries a Walther PPS .40 w/Crossbreed holster.
Hey, if it still shoots center, I'd carry it!
