I have both full size and compacts in both double and single stack magazines. All depends on where I am going and what I am wearing.

Untill this January, I carried a Kel-Tec P3-AT in my hip pocket most of the time, and a Kel-Tec P-11 in my car, or jacket pocket when it was cool enough to wear one, wich isn't very often in Central Texas. I wanted something better, so I traded both for a Para-Carry C-645 LDA. Unfortunately, it had major function problems, so after several failed attempts to trouble shoot it, I put it on consignment, and bought a Kimber Tactical-Ultra in Febuary, and so-farr, I'm loving it. I've used fanny packs, but never any kind holster for consealed carry before, I wanted to try it, but given the weather here, I decided to go with a tuckable IWB design, I didn't want to cheep out, so I ordered a Mitch Rosen Slimline Workman, but am still waiting on it to arrive. I'm praying it'll work out for me, but lately have been feeling the urge to have something smaller again for pocket carry, but I've already blown my bankroll, and can't afford anything nice yet, hopefully by the time I can, Rugers P3-AT knock-off I've heard about will be available. I have a full sized 1911 and a Caspian open gun, but don't attempt to carry these.
i just depends , i really like my 44 special revolver , but my hi-cap compact 9 mm has its qualitys too ....
I carry a XD-40 subcompact or the S&W 642.
Springfield XD-40 SC
Smith&Wesson 642
AR-20 .22LR Sporter Rifle
I carried a M&P fullsize for a year, then bought a M&Pc. The compact is way more comfortable for me. I'm 6'1'', 195 pounds.
I carry compacts or subcompacts.

Though it isn't a 1911, my Ruger SR9 is considered full-size. 17+1 double-stack mag with a 4.125" barrel.
I have carried a full-size 1911 before relatively comfortably. The only issue I had is with the barrel length. It would often require adjustment when I was sitting or crouching. Going down the the shorter length of the SR9 barrel makes a BIG difference in overall comfort, and I'm sure the weight reduction will help quite a bit as well.
My Crossbreed isn't here yet (oh, why...why, isn't it here yet?!?!), but I've tried the Ruger in other holsters, and I think it's going to be much more comfortable.

you didn't have a choice in the poll for "both."
I carry either a G17 or 19 depending on what I'm wearing. If I could only have one, it'd be the 19.

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

About 50% of the time, I carry a 5" 1911 or CZ-75 (5" also); about 50% of the time I carry a PF9; whatever % is left, I might carry anything from a P32 or NAA .22 Mini-revolver or Colt .380 to a 12 gauge coach gun and/or 6" SA .357 revolver.
I know you meant "concealed," but I sometimes have "unique circumstances" that actually can include any of the above as "concealed." Sorry, but too hard to explain.
Stay safe,
Chuck Brick.
Why do I use 230 gr. for my .45acp?
Because I can't find a source of 250 gr!

1911 GSR Commander and a P229. Both are in my opinion a compact. One is a double stack and one is a single stack.
I've been carrying a J Frame. But I am switching over to a Compact for my primary.
