Well, since we are talking survival here---I'll take the G17, and my Ruger 10/22 with carbon fiber .920 barrel. I'll be eating like buffet, and thwarting off those who can't do for themselves. I seriously though about my .308, but that's too heavy, and I'll not be worried about taking out the enemy, but staying stealthy in the outback, bringing little attention to myself. I love rabbit, but I'll eat almost anything that lives. The 22LR can take down what I'll need for food, and I'll bet the 22lr and 9mm are the most prevalent supply that could be found.

    I think I'm going with a glock 17 and a ruger mini 14 in .223

Oh, and don't forget an endless supply of pizza. Lets say there is a Pizza Hut behind the house and I'm part of the four man security team.

My para 1911, I mean come on, if it's good enough for the marines it's good enough for me.

Second choice would be my Ak-47, why cause the only thing to date that I can think of that causes it not to fire is a lack of ammo.

ouch, I can feel the slams now, but my keltek sub2k with glock mags (sorry not a glock fan but I got 3 33 rounders for it for shtf bug out gun reasons, and there will be lots of glock mags available as well) my 590 is the oldest in my collection right now, got it in the early 90s and still love that shotty, in fact tonight it got loaded for the first time in a while, Thats another story
still up cause im keeping in high yellow/low orange. thoughts are that I will no doubt come across some 9 ammo, and 12 is a good combo for hunting two or four legged prey.

My first concern is gonna be protection, so an AR-15 and a 5" 1911 .45.

I want a 12 ga 870 and a 10/22 as soon as I can pick them up though!

Have I missed something? Are the Marines issuing Para Ordnance to anyone?
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.
