Talking Pistol is Back & UBG Holster is Here (photos)

My Sig 239 SAS just came back from Sig and I also received my UBG Canute holster with shark trim.

For those that may not have followed my first post, the 239 had a few machine marks in the slide when I bought it new. Sig paid for shipping back to them, either machined out the marks or replaced the slide (don't know which) and installed rear night sights at no charge for my inconvenience. Total turn-around time was 12 business days and pistol looks great. I had not shot this pistol before sending it back to Sig, so I'm hoping the weather will hold up so I can make a range trip tomorrow. Pistol now looks fantastic and I'm very pleased with Sig's customer service.

I actually received my UBG Canute holster from Nate a few days ago but held back posting any pictures until the pistol was returned to show them together. Right now, I am one happy camper.

That holster is as pretty as the gun

Yea, I'm really happy with the way the holster turned out. I actually decided to order from Nate and add the shark to it after reading Lima's thread on the one you got for her. Since the pistol just came back, I haven't had a chance to wear the holster yet but it definitely looks quality. I know it seems kind of dumb to put the shark on an IWB holster, but this was kind of a special gun for me (had been trying to talk myself into one for a long time) so I wanted a special holster for it. I am not disappointed. I really can't say enough good things about Nate and his products. He was great to deal with (calling me to find out exactly what I wanted) and his turn-around time is fantastic. When I ordered, his web site said 3-5 weeks and mine, order to delivery, was one day shy of 4 weeks. I'm sure there are several other custom makers who also do a great job, but I've only delt with 3. I really like my Brigade Gunleather holsters and I've been wearing them every day, but a wait of almost a year is a little hard to live with when your itching to have your new holster. My only regret about Nate is that I'm afraid that with the quality of work he does, he's eventually going to get swamped with business. Good for him, bad for the rest of us but he deserves the success.

Well I'm glad we could help. Ditto on Nate's business, I wish him the best, it will be a good and a bad thing if he back log gets worse.

I'm actually contemplating putting a list of guns that I think I may buy in the next year or two and have some rigs made just to avoid the wait down the road.

This is actually the best way to "force" yourself into buying a new gun!

No use wasting a good holster without a gun to put in it right?
