Just for curiosity's sake, can you try to swap the pinky extension to see if it fits or not?

    Twins!

The main differences being extractor and grip mold, but twins nonetheless.

Once spare magazines become available and I have at least one more, I'll try messing with the magazine but with only one and no spares that I can find available, I'm not touching this one. If something breaks, bends, or goes flying across the room into never-never land, I end up with a useless pistol until I could come up with another mag.

I'm a ruger man...revolver-wise anyway. I just cannot help thinking that the Ruger .380 might just be just as unreliable and prone to breaking like my P3AT. Why would it not? I mean, for all practical purposes...it is the same weapon. Oh...sure, the Ruger slide is a tad bit heavier...and yes, it does have a different/better extractor. Other than that, the design is the same...yes? Oh...and you can lock back the Ruger...manually of course. Is the feed ramp more polished? I too am awaiting Range Reports. Also...try carrying a week in your pocket holster...than go to the range and fire it.

The one potential change is not design, but quality control. Many (most?) P3ATs are reported as functioning flawlessly, but at the same time, one of the first recommendations is a 'fluff and buff', which essentially makes up for some poorer quality control.

If Ruger's larger manufacturing capabilities allow the additional processes needed to improve quality on a large scale (one of Kel-Tec's problems I think...great designs, but too small for this level of high quality mass production...to improve the tolerances and finish for their relatively small CNC shop would drive prices up drastically), performance out of the box should be better.

One of the mods on a Ruger forum recently said it was STRIKER fired!

Had to bite my lip to keep from posting. Don't want to get the ban hammer!

Has anyone heard if they are coming out with this in a 9mm? I might bite on that. I am not that impressed with the stopping power of a .380.
