    Kahr CW9

The first time I took my CW9 to the range, I had no problems. Second time it wouldn't feed the first round in the mag (I had cleaned and lubed it). I took the mag out, relubed the slide rails and it worked fine after that so apparently Kahr's like liberal lubricant. Great little gun though!

I don't mean to be a downer, but what the hell, it is my lot in life...

How much of your carry ammo did you run through the gun?

Just because if feeds FMJ that doesn't mean the carry rounds you have chosen won't make it choke.

Finding out your gun doesn't like your chosen carry ammo when things go bad during you trip to 7/11 for necessaries like beer & corn chips would make that trip more eventful and less enjoyable than you desire.

Maybe... just maybe... that is the OP's carry ammo - perhaps until they find HP ammo that works - or perhaps - because they prefer the reliable feeding and penetration of FMJ's.

    Just my pre-tax $.02.

For now, FMJ will be my carry ammo, until such time that I run something else through it that runs fine. If I don't find a hp that does feed reliably, then I shall carry FMJ. My bug is a Ruger SP101 loaded with hydrashocks.....

As a quick and easy solution, let me suggest federal expanding full metal jacket.

I've had my CW9 for about a year and really like it. I've never had any kind of problem with any JHP or FMJ or lead reloads. Very accurate, very slim, and very light. It makes a very comfortable carry gun.

I have a P9 which is virtually the same thing and it is close to perfect. Never have I had a FTF or FTE. It is pretty accurate and light weight for carry purposes. I have a lot of faith in Kahr Arms.

    I got rid of a PM9, P9, and a MK9. I'm kinda kicking myself in the butt.

Have a P9 here. 1200 rounds no hiccups at all. All kinds of ammo.

I am wearing my CW9 right now. It shares carry time with my Glock 19. I run Gold Dot 124gr.+P out of both and they feed and fire fine out of both. I have shot several different brands and types of ammo out of my CW9 and have never had a problem of any type. Enjoy it!
