Another one followed me home!! Sig P220 Super Match

Well, I went into my favorite gun store looking for an AR-15 platform. I looked through their selection of evil black rifles and didn't see anything I couldn't live without.

Of course since I was there I felt compelled to look at everything. As I looked over their inventory I saw a pistol that caught my attention. Now I am not a Sig disciple but very much respect their products. I do have one of their GSR's and its a great 1911. But most of their stuff is DA/SA, which I'm not a fan. Because I prefer to carry cocked and locked most of the Sig pistols are out for me. Well I saw the P220 Super Match. It's well balanced, ambidextrous safety (that is a huge plus being left-handed) and SAO. One thing led to another and next thing I knew I was driving home with a new addition to the collection.

BEAUTIFUL GUN!! I too am not a fan of da/sa thats prolly why i don't often carry anything but mny 1911's. The different trigger pull just does not seem wise to get "used to" for me when I love my 1911's so much. I have even gone so far as to think about selling off several of my other auto's for the $$$ and buy more 1911's cuz I just don't shoot them...I won't, but it has crossed my mind.
And you can't go wrong with a Sig....a quality firearm no doubt. My buddy has one and it is smoooooth.

I love the wood grip, technically making these Sigs 'three tone'. Nobody does 'em better that this. Very nice. I'm wondering if you've got a hoster for it, and if so, which one you chose?

I haven't even begun the search for a holster yet. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. I usually carry OWB but have been thinking seriously about giving IWB another try.

I have had an extremely tough time finding a holster for my Sig P229 SAS. I am probably a little disenchanted with this gun for that reason, as the fifteen week wait on a holster finds me spinning my wheels trying to decide whether to go with our friends Brommeland or K&D for a custom job.

This P220 is HEAVY for a CCW, ain't it?

I doubt this will become a carry weapon. The honors for EDCgo to my USPc. I really bought this gun on the spur of the moment. I have been thinking about shooting IDPA and thought this would make a great pistol for that.
