To make my new gun even better, I was able to get a VM II fro Lightening Arms. Talk about being lucky.

Almost forgot, Sparks let me change my order no problem, nice folks.

And i also forgot to mention the grips. Everytime I have tried wood grips on 220's they have been too big. But these are thinner than the plastic ones.

Just got a case of 250 rounds for $89.99 from Bass Pro Shops, so it's time to hit the range again.

One more post on this subject, has anyone ever done more than "field-strip" the gun? Breaking it down to the 4 major parts is fine most of the time. But I will want to detail strip it occasionally. Anyone know where to find directions to do this?

    I've looked everywhere.

Just thought I would give an update.

Before I purchased this pistol, I went to sigforum and read a few bad things about the 220 Carry. So much so, that I decided to get the regular sized 220, as one inch in barrel length isn't that big a deal to me.

Anyway, I just finished putting my 500th round through my 220 today, and I have not had 1 problem. My old 3" Kimber ran fine if you didn't use their mags. Wilson and Tripp worked perfect. But I am glad I didn't have those problems.

This gun is just amazing to shoot. Usually I could care less how good a pistol shoots. All I want is reliability and for it to point naturally for me, as I usually don't use the sights. But having a good shooter is making it a lot more fun, and less of a chore. So much fun I am now interested in doing some shooting comps.

The only negative experience I have had, is I bought a Pro Mag magazine (8 round), and it worked fine. But the base plate cracked for some reason. I was at an indoor range, and I didn't drop it, and they're were no "move and shoot" drills, just regular target shooting.

But I got to give props to Pro Mag. I called them this afternoon and they are shipping me out a new base plate. They said I didn't have to worry about the old one, but I will send it to them so they can find out what went wrong if they want to.
