SP101-- Scotchbrite and Mother's Polish . . .
I got the SP101 the other day and saw a post with a custom SP101 someone had done some work on. I followed the IBOK and mirror polished just about every contact surface inside. I'll likely get the frame, and barrel bead blasted in satin, but the scotchbrite did the trick for awhile. Points of interest include satin finish with polished cylinder flutes. Crane and crane latch/controls mirror polished and hammer mirror polished.
I also did a lite melt on the gun with 500, 800 and 1200 sandpaper. The pics arent that great. The entire thing looks much better in person. I really like this little gun.
Let me know what you think!
Love that shiny stainless
I like what you did to the Ruger snubby - it looks good.
I bought a used S&W 66 snubby a couple of years ago that had been polished by the previous owner. I touched it up with some Mother's mag wheel polish. That stainless steel really can be made to shine.
