Which P7 should I get?
The one's of the lower serial numbers, that say 'made
in germany' on the side, or one of the later serials, that say 'made in west germany' on the side?
The condition of the later serial number ones is slightly better in terms of
wear on the slides, but many folks highly prize the lower serial numbers and
the 'made in germany' markings for collector reasons.
I have one coming and the dealer send me this note.
Thanks for your input

I just got a "grade A" from CDNN it is a PSP "Trade-In".
It is a brand new gun, there isn't one mark or scratch on it and the inside of the barrel shines like a mirror. It does not have the mark where a stamp was milled. It has W Germany on it. It is from '84.
I think I'm going to leave this one alone and order another for shooting/carry.
I would like to know if there is something to look for that is more desirable too.

There is virtually no difference in a P7 made in 1981 versus one made in 1996. The only one's I'm aware of that have any collectable markings are the few that are actually marked PSP in the slide. The P7s that had the crude grind marks may hold less value, but they sold for pretty high dollars too before the Saxony dump.
If they are the same price, just buy the best looking one... unless for some reason you want older versus newer.

I wanted one that was a W. German, simply because the country doesn't exist anymore.
