Going to spend up to $675 at the gun shop tomorrow

I received a small bonus at work today and the wife is letting me spend it on a new gun tomorrow

So what would you guys buy if you were in my situation?

I'm leaning towards the Ruger SR9. Ruger - SR9 Pistol

    It holds 17+1. 9mm luger.

    Cool

Ask the shop owner if he has any HK P7's in stock.

How long are those barrels? They look short.

These are all steel HK's that are German police turn-ins.
The prices are so good because so many thousand of them have hit the US shores in the last 6 months or so. Most it seems have been 90%+ with some being found to be in near new condition at around 97%+.

I'm a new owner of a SR9. It is amazingly light even with 18 rounds stoked in the thing. Thinner than a 1911 and carries very good. It has the frame mounted safety like a 1911 and handles like a 1911, which to me is a good thing. Trigger is a little odd at first but you get used to it. Take down and cleaning is amazingly simple. Not fired mine yet so I can't advise on this aspect..

In this economy? I'd save it.

Though, the new SR9's look interesting.

If it requires your wife's permission, I'd seriously look at a Sig P250. With its interchangeable components it'll be harder for her to keep track of future purchases. LOL. You will also be able to buy a grip shell that will fit her hand also. Great guns - very accurate with a DA trigger that has to be felt to be believed. 16+1 in the compact variety (9mm) and about 30 oz. Also should be well within your budget at $699 MSRP and actual prices being much lower. At least take a look at it - you won't be sorry.

    Adios,

CZ P-01. Tough, accurate and affordable. 14+1 so your not loosing out on that much. If 15 rounds hasn't stopped the BG, 3 more probably won't either!

Kewl, $675 would buy a lot of different weapons at least here in a Dallas gun show. Look and shop a lot. I purhased a new HP 40 last summer with a black finish for I think about $500, but it is a S/A. This same weapon is a FN is about the same I believe. My partner carries Glocks which can be had for about the same price. Buy quality and it will last a lifetime, and rememeber you may be betting your life on it.
