    My BBQ Gun - SW1911DK (dialup beware)

    Well, for those of you who remember me questioning whether to get this gun and then putting it on layaway, I picked it up today. Brand spanking new, and officially my first 1911.

    I still havn't decided whether or not I am going to keep it yet. I have been steadily getting offers for it as people have heard that I got it and that the serial number is below 1,000. I was looking in the case today, and the test fire casing is dated for May, 2006. This dealer sat on this one for quite a while.

    I think I will just admire it for a while.
    I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

    I'm sorry....You'll have to send that gun to me immediately! It is an obvious knock-off...they didn't even spell Springfield correctly (SPFLD).........

    Nice gun. I believe that is a Performance Center gun. I had a 952 out of the Performance Center that I got from a Smith and Wesson gunsmith. That was one great shooting gun. I just didn't care for the 7+1 capacity in 9mm. I think you will be very happy with this one.

    Yea that is a different trigger isn't it. I can see advantages to it, but it is different enough to be annoying at the same time.

    This looks great! I wouldn't sell it. I wouldn't change it. The trigger is a bit different. But that is they way Doug likes his triggers. Who were we mere mortals to argue the finer points of a 1911 with Koenig?
