    Favorite Pocket Gun

I am wondering what is everybody's favorite pocket carry gun. Right now I carry a Walther PPK/s but I am considering getting a Ruger LCP for when it gets really hot in the summertime. I really would like to hear from you and any other ideas on pocket carry you may have as I am still trying new guns and carry modes.

There is Kahrs' new polymer .380. I'll have either a taurus 85, colt mustang, or naa mini revo .22mag on me.

I had an NAA Guardian 380, just recently sold it, to an LEO friend to finance a new g27. I miss having one badly. The NAA was a great little gun. I think the G27 would be too even though I never carried it that way. You of course would have to have the right set up. The NAA rode in a MIKA pocket holster, which is one of the best for the money I have found.

I prefer snubby revolvers, the best have no hammer. I have found that most autos have a tendency to catch on pockets while pulling from jeans and some pant types.

IMHO the best "Pocket Gun" is an Airweight J-Frame Revolver with a concealed hammer.

Larger pistols are good and usually reliable, but not so with their smaller counterparts. Guns carried in the pocket, or on the ankle, tend to pick up a lot of "crud". This "crud" has been known to indue malfunctions in autoloading pistols.

Also, if I'm going for my "Pocket Gun" either my strong arm is disabled or occupied, and thus the action is most likely taking place at a very close distance. I want something that won't be disabled if I shove it in to my opponent's body before I squeeze the trigger.

Also, a Revolver can, if you have a concealed hammer, be fored from the pocket of a jacket without inducing a "jam" or malfunction. If you shoot from the pocket with an autoloader you most likely will indue a malfuntion. You won't always have time to draw the weapon from the pocket IRL.

OK, that's my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

My favorite would be a P3at as its literally so light and thin you can forget you have it . The one i actually carry tho is a Kahr pm9 , better sights , better caliber , better trigger . I feel confident with the Kahr and with the p3at i feel confident i can keep someones head down long enough to get around a corner and run as hard as i can lol .

Agree! Love the Seecamp. IMHO, anything bigger isn't a true pocket gun.

Both the wife and I have S&W J-frames for purse or pocket carry. Hers, a 642 w/Crimson Trace. Mine, the nickel 36 with rosewood grips.

While I usually pocket carry it, occasionally I'll use the Kramer MSP paddle shown.

Here's a closer view of the 642, in my preferred pocket holster, a Mika Pocket Holster (under $20).

If you're big enough to pocket carry a Kimber Ultra, you're big enough that you don't need to carry any gun!
