That is classic!!!! Beautiful!!
Does anyone have a set of old wood S&W j-frame snub grips they want to get rid of? I want to put a set on my 442 for the old school look and feel.

SPNY is an OFFICIAL off-duty revolver for the NYPD. Hope that helped. Many friends carry one. I had Smiths(prior to the Glock transition)..but I did have a 357 Ruger Security-Six..a big cousin to that SPNY of your wife's.:wave:
Ill add my new and improved model 60 with its little friend.

So many cool snubs here. I'm really getting into the older snubs.
I think I am ready to go 357 now. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards fixing up my SP101 instead of buying something else.
I really like my 340. It does have stiff recoil...but so light in the pocket or on the belt. If I were to change it would be a 640 or 60. That SP101 is a tank though.
Hey Sixto;
Your cool snubbie thread is coming up on its 2nd anniversary next month. You gonna do anything special?
Fixing up the SP 101 sounds the most reasonable. What would you do to it?
For an interesting .357 snub one doesn't see every day you could try a 2-inch Colt Lawman. Saw a couple of nickel ones on GunBroker, currently under $400.
It's built on a J-frame, so I guess it qualifies as a snubbie:

The 3" barrel gives a longer sight radius, and it changes the balance of the J-frame a bit, too, for the better. It's too big for the pocket, but a delight to carry on the belt. It might be the perfect carry revolver!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics.

Radionicist, cool gun!
Wow, I didn't realize its been 2 years already. My SP101 has been sitting it a box for years. I don't think I've even shot it. If I did, it wasn't much.
Anyway, I'd probably fit it with a A/O sight and some classy looking grips. I also really like the bead blast look of the Gemini Custom guns, so maybe I'd do that to get my thrills.
I already added a spring kit and polished up the guts, the action is pretty darn smooth already.
