Sounds like you got it figured out. I love both my J frames but have to admit I'm real partial to my 640. I do want to add a night sight to the front to make it a bit easier with my eyes.

Here is my addition to this Superduper Snubbie Thread. Clockwise from the upper left are:
S&W 642 - .38 special +P
S&W 640 - .357 mag
S&W .32 Long - Not sure of the model number. While technically I guess this is not a snubbie, this is a pocketable gun.
Iver Johnson Arms & Bicycle .32 cal break top - the last date on the barrel is Dec 26, 93. I would not shoot this little bugger, but it is kind of cute. Notice the GLock style trigger, but in metal.
I know the 640 is loaded. It was my EDC that day and I unholstered to shoot the pic and the reholstered.

You are only paranoid until you are right - then you are a visionary.
That is a nice collection ksholder. Fine looking collection.
Here's my old 442 with new stocks:
They are Secret Service grips by Eagle Grips.

I added a new one to my collection. I got a used 85ul in what the store says is excellent + condition. I say its in good shape. I will used it as my beater gun for working around the yard and keeping in the duster pocket for those nights when my guard wiener dogs run away from the porch and I have to go get them. Stay safe.

The rosewood secret service grips work great on those tauruses

I had to decide between a SP101 and a 22/45 today. Went with the 22/45, but the SP101 or GP100 will be next and it will be sent off to Gemini Custom.

This is a Ruger Speed Six of a good customer of mine. I posted a picture of his Ruger GP100 3 inch earlier. Man, This guy has some cool guns. I know the good book says "thou shall not covet" but, oh boy. I like this gun.IMGP1134.jpgIMGP1133.jpg

I wrote a report of my new EAA Windicator in another post, but here's a picture of it:
It Ain't pretty, but it shoots great. Some nice walnut grips may dress it up a bit.![]()

Ruger SP101 2.25" with hammer. Carries well concealed on the belt. Will be adding a 638 as the weather warms, just waiting for them to go on sale again (why pay $370 when I can wait and get it for $340-50?). The FNX-9 also works okay for CCW (no worse than the SP101), but a 638 is a nice pocket gun.

Looking at all of those snubbies kind of make me want to buy another one. I have an exposed hammer.... maybe I should buy an concealed hammer. Just have to give myself a reason to use a concealed hammer gun :D
