    I really really want it!!!

I've been obsessing about the Sig 226 ever since I shot one at the range in october.
While at my favorite gun shop I spotted a police trade in 226. Then the fella that showed me the gun showed me the sig torture test on the internet. Amazing what they put a 226 through. It never misfired.
The Beretta misfired after dropped in the water. The sig was dropped from a heilo, dropped in the water twice and smashed with a tracko.

This particular police trade-in appears to have alot of miles on it. Nothing my local gunsmith can't fix, I don't figure. $309 is the sticker price. Is that a good price or should I "deal" with him a little?

I'm no expert on the pricing question, but it sounds fair to me.

Regarding its condition, I'd guess that it was "carried a lot and shot little" during its tenure as an LEO sidearm. With that in mind, I'd have a gunsmith go over it, and maybe check into refinishing.

    Good luck.

Is it in good condition? If it is I would not have walked out of the door without it.

You've come across one heck of a deal if you ask me! For a bit over three bills, I'd grab it in a heartbeat, and if it needed some work, I'd have a beautiful project pistol.

I'll bet your dealer got one of the 299 police trade ins, so he's only making 10bucks on it. 309 is an exellent price. I doubt that he would go any lower.

I got one a few years ago. It was in pretty good shape other than some dings on the finish. Shoots great though.
