I officially have a new favorite gun!

    It's hard to shoot
It kicks like a p.o'd elephant
The trigger pull is a mile long

but man firing a few mags through this thing is definitely a pretty interesting experience! There's nothing quite like shooting a sub 2" snubbie that spits out a 6' flame and causes everyone at the range to stop shooting and look down the isle to see who the jerk with the hand cannon is. I need to practice a LOT in order to be really comfortable, but that just gives me an excuse to get to the range more often.
Haha I know what you mean about people staring to see what you got at the range. I went to my local range before with a friend who has the 340PD (same gun if you swap out the Ti cylinder for stainless and put on a night sight) and man does it kick! I can't wait to get the M&P model that you have. How were your groups? I'm thinking about getting the model that comes w/ the CT grips - might help out... Anyway glad to hear your having fun w/ it

My groups could've been better. Like I said, I still need a lot of practice with it, but they weren't THAT bad. I was using a standard silhouette target and out of 50 rounds, 2 were down in the belly area, 3 were up in the neck area, and the rest were within a 12" group COM. This was from 15 feet... I definitely felt like I COULD shoot this thing really well with enough practice.

Very nice, man. [Warning: 911 Guy Opinion Ahead] I think the wheelgun is making a major comeback in the concealed carry / defensive pistol world, and that gun is living proof. Good on ya, bub.

Congratulations! I have the 340 M&P with the CT Laser Grips and feel exactly the way you do about it... I love it!

While leaving the range(outdoor) after the first time shooting it, an oldtimer in the office said, "What are you doing out there, trying to blow up the county? What are you shootin'?" I handed it to him, and while he gently bounced it up and down in his hand to get the feel of the weight, all he could do was shake his head and say, "Unbelievable."

    Awesome, but expensive.
That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

Everyone needs at least one J frame. Good choice.

stickybeatz: So, what model of gun is this, exactly? Some have guessed at it, but you haven't mentioned what it is.
