I own a Beretta Cougar 357 and was wondering if I could buy a 40cal barrel for it and simply swap them out to try it as a 40. Do any of you cougar owners know if their interchangeable? Thanks,
-Chris

Bump...anyone have any experience with the cougar barrel swap?
Well with the .357 sig being based on the .40 S&W cartridge I don't see why you couldn't. You should be able to even use the same magazine(s). Just do a barrel swap. I don't own a cougar though, so maybe someone who does can confirm or deny it.

Interesting...I think you can, but I haven't heard it being done with a Cougar.
I have a 9mm drop-in for my P229/.40, and you can swap between .40S&W and .357SIG easily with SIGs.

you can interchange the 40 s&w barrel with a 357 sig barrel....as long as the barrel length is the same & the brand of pistol is the same...
the mags should load either caliber.......
most people like sig sauer brand guns, & they're the most common for interchanging caliber 40 s&w to 357 sig, magaines load of round,
just need interchanging barrels......it's very simple
