I can't think of any pistols that would throw me now, althought the first time I handled a Makarov the mag release baffled me.

A few dozen immediately, all of them with a couple of minutes to think.

No clue. Mine are all incredibly simple.

I can clear load and fire almost anything that touches my hands within a matter of seconds,I've shot M16,uzi,mp5,AK47,Mac 10,M-60,M2,full autos.I have shot just about every modern semi auto hand gun made as far as basic design and manufacturer,I have owned and shot several semi auto shotguns from brownings to berettas to benellis to mossbergs and a full compliment of pumps too.there are not to many weapons if you threw to me after a quick look i couldn't get going.

I haven't found too much I can't work yet, actually I can't think of a firearm I've handled that I couldn't. Everything from black powder revolvers to Ma Deuce and the Mark 19, to RPK's and PKM's. I can even charge and fire a SMAW.

I haven't gotten to handle too many SMG's, so maybe somewhere in that category there is something.

They all work pretty close to the same... the toughest part is knowing what fires from an open bolt, but then again, not much does anymore.

There are still a few open bolt weapons in use that I can think of. Knowing which ones are brings up a good point.

For me, I had a hard time figuring out a HK P7. I could load and fire it, if needed, but I'm not familiar about how it's slide release and take-down work. I also had trouble figuring out a German Luger. I couldn't get the darn thing to cycle, as the knuckle locked back and wouldn't close. When I tried to operate it, I ended up moving some takedown lever and it all kinda fell apart. It took me the better part of an hour to try to get it all back together again.
