    Nice looking rig.

It'll be nice for you having your own personal back-up :-)

Not to mention knowing she has an additional option if "stuff" hits the fan.

    Congrats.

    Congrats.
If anything does happen, I am sure my wife would do fine.

She has been trained by the best.

Is that the Pearce grip extension? Pinky-dangle-prevention-only, or extra capacity as well?

I think you can count on the G-26 to "get 'er done"!

Pinky only, and for range use only

If she wanted a pistol as big as the extension makes it, she would have got the G19 which was on her list also. But she got this one cause it is so easy to conceal.

For a non Glock (read: 1911) owner, the number designation of the Glocks is confusing. Is there a rhyme or reason to it, or do they just pick a number out of midair? How do you know what caliber each one is as it's mentioned?

Here's some info for you from The Complete Glock Reference Guide by Ptooma Productions:

The first Glock produced, the G17, was so named becase it was Glock's 17th International Patent, not the number of rounds carried in the magazine (this is a common misconception). Pistols developed after the G17 were sequentially numbered G18, G19, etc. Glocks latest pistol, the G37 is the twenty second Glock model produced.
    Hope that's helpful.

No method to it that I can see. When I want to know, I just go here:

Geez, I was afraid you'd tell me something like that. Oh well, not a big deal, I'll just continue to use that blank stare when friends say "hey, check out Fred's new Glock 32.78....." Thanks!!
