    Kahr CW9 Availability

I called numerous gun shops today to price a CW9. Not one had one. They also informed me that when they checked with their distributers, nobody had any either. Anyone else looking for one having the same problem?

If you can't find one locally, they are going for $395 - $420 plus shipping on GunBroker.

They do seem to sell out fast when they become available. My LGS says he keeps two on order at all times and sells about two a week. I paid $429. plus tax last week and we don't have any other fees or background checks here. A buddy picked up one this morning at the gun show here and got it for $415. out the door. I think you will really like the pistol if you get one. I put 170 rounds through mine at the range on Wednesday to break it in. UMC, Rem. Greenbox, SXTs, and Hydra-shoks. No failures at all attributable to the gun. I did have 4 fail to fire with the green box, but all had good primer strikes. My buddy who bought the CW9 this morning said our LGS had raised the prices in the past week, so could be above $429. now. Good luck in your search and let us know if you find one.

I did actually find one. They want $429 for it. I had a PM9 and a P9 that I foolishly sold. Well you can't win them all!

    Is the next statement revelatory?

I'm seriously considering replacing my J-frame, which is pocket-carried, with the CW9, which can also be carried in the pocket with a Nemesis. The gun is so much easier to shoot, and to shoot accurately, and has 60% larger capacity, is more user-friendly with 9mm +P.

    It's a great gun, the CW9. It's a real value gun for a Kahr.

Why did you sell them? Curious.

That's a good question. I had problems with the PM9 and couldn't trust its reliability. I was just aggravated at Kahr at the time. I should of just got rid of the PM9 & kept the P9. Oh well, some times I try to outsmart myself, and it doesn't work! Anyway, I ended up with a Glock 26. I can't say nothing bad about it, other than its size compared to a PM9.
