No problems shooting the .44mag. Iown. SA style Ruger. The Anocanda I tried did feel right with the DA type grip. I can shoot it, but didn't like the accuracy for me. I shoot .40 S&W alot. Downright mild in the HK, but a bit more violent in the lightweight PT140. All in all , I can shoot most heavier recoiling calibers, including my 06 in a 6 lb. bolt gun. Some are more pleasant than others.

My thumbs give out from loading mags long before anything else.
Haha - true Robert - even in fact with mag loading gizmo's - that aspect is often the limiting factor.
Well and sometimes the realization of how many dollars have sped down the barrel too

5 rounds of .308, 168gr Match, through a Lone Eagle SSP (12" barrel), was about my max. For 100 yd accuracy, 3 rounds was really pushing it!
.50AE (300gr @ 1375fps)was a plinker, by comparison!

In a pistol, 10 rounds of Corbon's 135+p in 40 S&W and a cylinder full of 454 full power rounds. Nothing else even comes to mind.
In a rifle, 45-70 rounds out of a 6 pound Ruger single shot and the 458 SOCOM rounds out of an AR-15 carbine with collapsable stock.

The K40 is quite a little pocket rocket - only frequent shooting got me somewhat used to it, and I still never liked the kick. I can shoot my .45 auto USPc with no problem.
I can shoot around 3 rounds out of a .44 Magnum and then I'm a flinch-o-matic.
I love shooting my Mosin M44, but one blast from a 10 gauge was one too many.
The giant bruise that thing left looked like Mike Tyson punched me across the room.
That Bud White......he scares me.

This is kind of embarassing, but once, my personal threashold was 14 rounds of 9mm from a BHP.
When shooting one of my 1911s, I rest my thumb on top of the safety. I did that with a buddies BHP, and got cut by the slide.
That was it for the day.
Dont tell anyone, I'll feel like a wuss.
