I'd go with the Bersa or Kahr

The decideing factor would be if I wanted an exposed hammer or not.

I have a CW9 and it has been perfect for over 550 rounds. No hiccups whatsoever and is very, very concealable. I think the Kahrs have the best DAO triggers out there.

Yes, but Congress is going to ask for it back next year.

I have the PPS and it shoots very well IMO. While I don't own the Kahr, it is on my short list and I have fired one on several occasions, also a very fine firearm. I'm glad I got the PPS first. YMMV

edit...really not such a variation...I was thinking the kahr was considerably more

even though I don't want to support the kahr company (personal reasons), I think they make the better of the three!
Ever handled a PPS? Far higher quality than a Kahr imo. That was one of my deciding factors, that and too many mixed reports on various Kahr's for comfort.

Of the ones you listed, I'd vote for the PPS. If you want to move up to something better in the future, a Glock 26....

send me a Walther that was made in Germany and I might consider.

Actually though, I do prefer to "buy American" ..most of the time

I vote Bersa, especially if you're on a budget.

Walther PPS, then a Kahr CW9 if the Walther is too much in price.

I'd send you mine, but I love it too much :D

Actually, all PPS's are made 100% in Germany, they are imported and stamped by S&W.

I'm not sure what the case is with P99's though and the various models, but I am pretty sure most of those are 100% german too.

Maybe you are confusing things with the SW99, which is part SW assembled and part Walther components.

you are probably correct! I have always liked the (older) Walthers, but when polymer became the trend for everyone's offerings I just lost interest. Some guns are just supposed to be all steel. I was under the impression the S&W was doing all the Walthers for US distribution.

and, for what it's worth, I really would like to have the P22 (I don't know why though)
