ultra-concealable a la LCP/KelTec/kahrP380

Home defense .45: Glock 30
-
Home defense .45: 1911 (can't afford much in this class!)

Don't buy a gun; get the custom holster you've been wanting and put the rest of the $ in an insured CD

poll: which gun next? (bug vs .45)
Please help me decide which direction I should invest in next: a small BUG type gun vs a .45 HD gun
I want (and really have more need for) a KelTec/LCP/P380 sized gun for more discreet carry in dress clothes, and for those times when I MUST not be discovered (certain clients' private property), yet really should be carrying.
I want a .45 because I enjoy shooting .45, and it is just kinda classic to me. I want it as a home defense gun, OC on friends' property/riding, and slight possibility of carrying CWP at times. I'm torn between the Glock 30, which I really like, and a 1911, which is also *classic* but may be out of my price range for anything decent and dependable.
Gun "roles" already happily filled:
daily carry: kahr PM9
Rugged carry: snubbie revolver
home defense: mak 9x18; shotgun

I love my Glock30, I wish I could get the SF version. The gun is reliable and easy for me to conceal. If you go with the 30 don't be cheap on the holster. Good luck with your choice!

I voted for the holster...Just to be different.
Save your money, buy what you really want. Use your investment to pick out that 1911 you always wanted.
P.S. I'm biased because I really hate Glocks.

Buy the small gun, cause it will allow you to carry easier, and more often.

Hey, with a license you have a responsibility to carry 24/7 (where legal), so if the deep conceal handgun is missing from your arsenal, then shame on you
There's just times that you just have to suck it up and boot carry, pocket carry, or use the "shove-it-down-your-pants" carry... all of which are much better suited to a small framed gun.
Besides, from your post it sounds like you do have some HD protection available.
Buy the deep conceal weapon for $300+/-, then save for a nice 1911 for the future.
Just the opinions of a typical bitter American clinging to guns and God, with a total disdain for our immigration policies.

Well, I've got a Springfield GI model 1911 that I use as a carry gun, not really any bells and whistles, but it does the job reliably for not too much cash.
If you need a bug, get that first. I'm partial to J-frames myself.
Whats the small single stack .45 glock, the model 3 or something like that? How about that one?

+1 (though I voted for a 1911 cuz I don't have any trouble concealing it)

I voted for the bug also, because in really hot weather it may be the only gun you can carry in shorts and a t-shirt.

My Kimber Ultra does everything...but it isn't going to hide in my front pocket like my KT.380.

I'm a little contrary too.
At the risk of committing heresy, another gun is just another gun. Get the holster. It'll put a smile on your face every day that you strap it on.
