I am not sure of the rental, but I do know for a fact that Bullet Trap in Plano has the weapon. If they do rent, let me know how it shoots...

I'll tell you firsthand. Very nice.

I've heard great things. Bullet Trap doesn't have it listed on their website but it might be available since I believe they are a Walther dealer...

The PPS shoots better than I thought it would.

I tried one out a few weekends ago. I was very impressed with how well it grouped and handled. I shot a tighter group with the PPS than my Kahr Mk9, or even my P7 that day. This particular pistol didn't like wolff ammo too much though, as if had a few FTE's (Winchester white box fed fine, as did Winchester Ranger).

The gun is a joy to shoot, and really does have a much lower recoil than you would imagine, taking the barrel length and weight into consideration.

Call DFW Gun Range off of Mockingbird, or target Masters in Garland.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks PFCSLR- tried 'em both & neither has a rental PPS available. The guy at TargetMasters had a unique reason: we don't know if a PPS will hold up to 10,000 rental rounds....

You could ask the guys at texaschlforum.com Maybe somebody there has one that you could borrow. Meet them at a local range & blast off a few rounds.

I talked to the Walther rep for Texas today after getting his number from Walther Customer Service. It seems that they are selling the PPS pistols as fast as their retailers can stock them, so the idea of putting one out of sales rotation as a rental is not happening right now.

The rep told me he does not know of a single retailer that rents one in North Texas.

    Wink Be brave

Be brave my friend and buy one sight unseen like I did :)

I have a FE and a Black edition one. I like them and don't plan on getting rid of them.

If you bought one and hated it, trust me you would not have much trouble selling it for about what you paid for it.

EX- I may just do that. You're right, I could sell it for probably 95%+ of what I paid for it.
