    Looking For Advice

For years I carried a Ruger P90 .45, then a .38 S&W Titanium Airweight, and now it is a Ruger SP101 only. I don't have the other guns anymore.
What would you recommend for a smaller sized .45? I was thinking about a KP345 (?)
The P90 was too big to carry. So I would go for a smaller .45 Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Check out the Glock 21 SF, or the XD 45. Both light and very carry friendly with the proper rig (i.e. belt and holster). Can't go wrong with either.

Thank you, and is there a particular smaller .45 which is more popular than others now? Are the two you mentioned among the most popular?
Trying also to see what most folks carry re the smaller .45s

Also check out the Glock Models 30 (or 30SF) and 36. Good luck with whatever you choose!

My current carry is the SA Micro-Compact with 3" barrel, small but not so light and easy to conceal.

    if you're set on getting a .45, go with a Glock 30 or 30sf

    Colt Defender

My smallest .45 is the Colt Defender, which has a 3 inch barrel, Officer's size grip, is 0.90 inches thick in the slide, 1.05 inches thick in the grip (slim grip panels), and weighs 24 ounces empty. It holds 7+1 rounds with Wilson 7 round magazines. The gun conceals quite easily in a good belt holster but is too large for pocket carry. Here is a shot of the gun with a full size Colt 1911 and a 4 inch Kimber Pro for comparison:

The Taurus P-745, I think it is a small single stacked auto. I don't know much about them, some like Taurus and some don't.

i carry a taurus pt-145 pro ss (small 10+1, cheep), or a kimber 1911 full size, i love the kimber, and am thinking of getting 3 in. or 4in. to replace my taurus. i have heard good things about the kahr. you can't go wrong with what is comfortable to you, glock 30, taurus, kahr, ect.

my bet would be a 1911 in 3 or 4in. (more concealable than full size)or go big get the full size.

    cheers

That Colt Defender seems okay for pocket carry, right?

    Defender - Pocket

I believe the Defender is too large for pocket carry. When loaded with 7+1 rounds the 24 ounce empty weight goes up to about 28 ounces loaded weight. I think that is a little too much weight in a pocket. The Defender seems to work best in belt carry for me.

    Kahr PM45

There aren't too many .45s that fit easily in a pocket. Most pocket guns are .32, .380, .38 special or 9mm. However, Kahr has introduced a couple of polymer frame small .45s, the P45 and the PM45. I believe the PM45, which is the smallest, would fit in a pocket without too much difficulty.
