My Kahr required a "non-marring blunt object" to push the slide-lock out when new. After breaking it in, I can do it with my thumb. I used the bottom of the magazine with no issues at first.

Takes me all of 5 seconds to field-strip the P40...

    My Choice in
I had the same reliability issue in my Kahr P-40. I REALLY wanted that gun to work as I could conceal it easily on my slender frame. In 2 brand new weapons and 4 repair trips to the factory between them, I never got more than 10 rounds without a jam (450 rounds fired total).

I ended up getting a P3AT and a PF-9 from Keltec for about the same money and neither has had any jams ever.

    Obviously, your mileage may vary.

Wow, thats wierd. My experience was the exact opposite. I didnt like the PF9's quirks so traded for a CW40 and its flawless so far. I guess we have to judge each gun on an individual basis.

Never heard of or seen this before.

All of my Kahrs started out slightly tight, but were easy enough. After break in, its super easy.

Like Precision I have the PF-9 and P3AT from Kel-Tec and never had a problem. They go BANG every time.

So which did you order? The EMP or Unicorn?
I have a Unicorn mounted in my garage right next to my deer head.
    Great conversation piece!

    A S&W Sigma 9mm is an alternative choice (well priced @ ~$300).

Really like the FNP9M for IWB cc. It's a little shorter in grip & barrel than FNP9. Together they have about 3000 rds thru em with no bobbles. Backed up by pocket PF9.

I was ready to buy on-line, but lucked out and found the last one for sale at a local range, still I can find them on-line, you just can't dicker too much because of the demand.

I have fat hands and I can only get 2 fingers on the Kahr PM9. I would suggest the CW9.
