Sensible when needed, paranoid when not.

I've already had the need for a second gun a few years ago. The reason for the one on the ankle is for when I'm sitting down. I've found it to work very well from that position.

I've been carrying two guns for a while, but I got tired of moving the gun from the pocket to the ankle as I got in and out of my truck. I decided to eliminate all that and just carry one on each side behind the hip.

there's a former cop that works at the gun store i frequent, and a 3rd gun saved his life. he was arresting a suspect when the guys buddies walked from a dark alley and jumped him. he lost his primary weapon, secondary weapon, and then grabbed one guy by the collar and shot him twice in the forehead with a NAA .22lr mini-revolver he had in his shirt pocket. the other two settled down.

    Same here.

3 guns?? Where do you live in Bagdad ? I don't know what you do for a living but if I felt the need to carry 3 guns I would either move, get a new job or talk to someone. But to each his own.

I often carry double, primary on the hip and backup in the pocket.

If you carry 3 guns, who cares about enemies?

Kinda like the Clint Smith quote - "If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That's ridiculous. If I have a gun, what in the hell do I have to be paranoid about?"

Yeah, 3 carries? A bit much, I think, but to each their own.

Man, where do you guys fit all this stuff? I have trouble enough finding room for my 1 gun, reload, knife, cell phone, keys, billfold, flashlight, etc.

A few good pairs of pants would help... I prefer the Woolrich Elite line myself. Those four symmetrical slash pockets are GREAT for stowing stuff! I typically carry two guns (XD40 service and P3AT), two knives (Spyderco Endura and now a Benchmade Griptilian - was a Spyderco Delica), a Surefire E2DL, and either one or two spare mags for the XD... plus cell phone, small first aid kit with spare batteries, keys with another light on them...

I gain anywhere from 3-10 pounds when I get dressed (depends on if it's an office day, i.e. just the KelTec, one knife, and flashlight) or a Florida City day (ask Miggy about that one... here's a hint, EVERYTHING I've mentioned and then some ).

Yeah... a good pair of pants and belt are crucial.

On that note, BikerRN, I'd like to see your carry rigs!
