    Talking My Wife's first gun

Well the Stim check came through and my wife had been not so secretly wanting a Ruger Sp101 after holding one at the local gun shop. Nothing was more fun than having her come home from work yesterday to find a new Ruger sitting on the bed. She hugged me and said, "I love it!" We took it out by the lake last night with some targets and had a great time.

She's taking her class for her CCW permit next week. I married a good one!

The gun is pictured on the right with a set of Hogue grips.

Congratulations to your wife and you. My wife and I both share ( actually she took the revolver over ) a Ruger SP101.
    God bless our troops!

Congrats LR, an excellent choice. My wife also carries a SP-101 snubbie in .357 with the monogrip and Trijicon night sights. She is very good with it, and I am happy that she has left the herd and become a sheepdog.

My wife has been shooting longer than I have. But she was always a one gun gal. Since I have been acquiring them at a fairly rapid pace over the last few years, she has gotten the bug a little. She has been lately trying to stake claim to my HK P30. Definitely don't have the money to buy two of those!

Nice SP101 and nice Sig. A great pair!

A Ruger is pretty easy to find. On the other hand, a wife like that ....

Is she using it for the CHL test? If so, remember that she will only be able to carry a revolver. If she takes it with a semi auto, she'll be able to carry anything. You might already know this, if so, disregard.

Yeah, she's gonna get the permit with the Sig 229 but practice and carry the Ruger. Thanks for the heads up though.

I was about to post the same reminder. Can't be too careful when you're trying to cover all the bases for the CHL. Lot's of "i's" to dot and "t's" to cross you know.

I wish her luck with the "process". Sounds like a 3-4 month wait nowadays.
