On a budget, want a Sig?

For anyone who needs a quality pistol on limited funds, I found this surfing last night.
    Sig P6 P225 'Service Grade' $259.
Disclaimer: I've never dealt with this company, I just thought this was a great price for someone on a tight budget. Why can't I find a deal like this on 1911A1's?

Aimsurplus is a company I have used several times, they have pretty much the same deal on them, currently working through backorders, mine should be in the next batch.

Apparently the deal with the P6 is that it wasn't intended to shoot HP ammo, so to do that you usually need to buy a 225 barrel and swap them out.

    Or run EFMJ in them.

    Either way.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

I got the same deal through AIM Surplus and it shoots FMJ great; haven't put HP through it yet. Finish was a bit worn but that doesn't bother me.

    I definitely recommend it.

Most reports are putting it about 60/40. An HP with a narrower mouth will likely feed better than wide meplat, and many of the P6s were retrofitted with the "HP barrel" prior to being decommed. Sig Forums has several good stickies about them. The major problem is mag availibility. Glad I picked up a few...!

Centerfiresystems has p-226's for 269$ which seems to be a steal...

    Those are P-225's, not P-226's.

225 are singlestack guns, aprox 8 rounds; 226 is a doublestack gun, 15 rounds & up in 9mm.

I stand corrected, still a Sig.
