Need help with first Brownells order!

Ok Guy's to start off I blame this all on this forum!!
This is going to be fun,and I should have had a 1911 before now.
This being my first 1911 I have some learning to do!
I Got this pistol a couple of months ago and have put maybe a couple of hundred rounds through it, but funds and a injury kept me from jumping into this pistol. A boresnake is all I have done to it until now.

I'm ordering for sure (2) Wilson 47ox, The WC Tactical sight (subdued yellow rear, bright green front) Low profile, snag proof!
    This gun screams snag proof

I had a chance to shoot the big dots today, and I think I have decided on the Wilsons.

The Wolff XP for the Kimbers, and a new 23# hammer spring.
Is there a part of the newb curse that says your mainspring will... fly across the room, hit the wall and vanish into thin air

The grip safety is pitted and I would like a new one,but which one?? I like the size of the one that's on it.

I have finally realized that I don't need a trigger job Just need to adjust mine.

Oh why did I get this Catalog

I wanted the the Alumagrips, But don't see the flat bottom..Hmm
    Guess Iwill order themfrom alumagrips.
Ok guys any help, safety, grips, springs(3 of each) what else do I need??

Oh yea, I have parts everywhere

To easily switch out the hammer spring.

Drive a finishing nail into someplace where you can put a nail.

Directly underneath that nail - tack up a little lid (or anything) that will catch the little mainspring housing retaining pin that will drop into it.

Depress the mainspring cap against the finishing nail & use anything really skinny (like a paperclip) to push the little pin out.

Ease the mainspring out and switch it and then depress it against the finishing nail and then simply push the little retaining pin back in.

If you are happy with your existing grip safety (and it functions fine) then I'd leave it alone on an everyday carry gun.
That would be because not all "drop in" grip safeties will drop right in and you might need to fit the replacement.
If you're not certain that you can do that then I wouldn't try.

Then with the money that you just saved by not buying a new grip safety -
Buy an Ed Brown (or other high quality machined from bar stock) slide stop and get rid of that MIM one that is on your Kimber.

    1911 Magazine Analysis

May wanna re-think those Wilson mags. Checkmate Industries offers both hybrid lipped and USGI lipped mags for a decent price.

I hope Wilson mags will work, I have heard more + then -
I got the Ed Brown stop, new springs, WC sights, and Alumagrips.

They'll work fine - you'll just more or less be losing the controlled round feed.

I think I could pour them in, and tape the bottom shut and it would feed
I can't wait to get to the range

I know what you need, a magnetic mat or dish to hold parts.
