Hello Everyone
Let me hear your thoughts on which has less recoil a Glock 19 or an XDSC 9mm?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
Perceived recoil is a very subjective thing. However, the XD is significantly heavier than the Glock (29 ounces v. 20 ounces), which will mitigate felt recoil.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.
... Both are 9mm. I wasn't aware that 9mm really had "recoil".
Just kidding.
But no really, both of them are great guns and similar in design so I doubt there will be much difference. As Matt pointed out, the XD is a bit heavier so would probably soak up more recoil. Not like 9mm is very hard to handle, though... Good grip and stance go a long way
Welcome to the forum and best of luck.

Again, welcome to the forum.
Weight is a very big part of recoil... feel is another. Go shoot them both for yourself, but comparing a compact with a sub-compact is an interesting comparison. Personally, I would compare a sub-compact with a sub-compact. Glock 26 would compare better to the XDsc 9mm. I like the Glock 26 much better than the XDsc.
Once again, go shoot them both for yourself and see which one you like best. The 9mm is a very easy load to handle in most all handguns today.

and SIG P226-40 TT, and Ruger GP-100, and Beretta 92FS
Former: Taurus 92SS, SIG P220 TT, S&W 360, SIG P239-40, Ruger 22/45 MKII
while I haven't shot the G19 and the XD9 side by side, I have shot the G23 and XD40 in the same session (different calibers, same "platform comparison").
I noticed more "felt recoil" with the XD, probably because of the higher bore-axis...I definately prefer the Glock (for other reasons as well).

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

The XD's, model-to-model, present with less recoil than their G-rock counterparts. That said, it's only 9mm. There really isn't much recoil there to begin with.
