    Colt Pocket Auto 1908

I started to carry this Colt hammerless 1908 in 380 caliber sometimes in a IWB holster. It is vintage made in 1913 but is very reliable.

Nice, there is a 1903 hammerless in my family, sweet little pistols those old colts are.

The only reason I would be wary to carry such a firearm is if it ever used in SD, you may lose it while it rusts in an evidence locker.

    Colt

That is true I wouldn't want to lose it. I bought it at a moving sale 30+ years ago for $50 with two old boxes of Remington ammo and the old holster in the picture. The best deal I ever found on any firearm. I have a hankering for the new Ruger 380.

Sounds like on heck of a deal on that pistol. Holster looks pretty classy too. Several members here have the LCP, a lot of info about em around these days.

    Very nice!

So how many more treasures do you have hidden away?

First the Radom, then the Luger, now this Colt.

    Very nice old Colt.

    Has it been refinished?

I have one too - my very first gun, bought in '77 from a co-worker who was starting his own gun shop. It was actually his first gun, too.

Mine is from ~1915, and is blued. And he re-blued it before selling it to me, which means its value as a collectible is reduced, I'm told.

I had a kydex holster made for it at a gun show last year. This thing is so flat and thin, it's REALLY concealable. But I don't use it as an EDC - I've had FTF problems I haven't totally resolved, and my PM9 gives me more firepower in a smaller overall package (though slightly thicker).

    Colt

The Colt 380 I had replated when I first got it. It was not pitted but had flaking of the nickel here and there so I sent it back to Colt for a refinish in the 70's. I like nickel finish or highly polished stainless that looks like nickel.

I won't post any more pictures for awhile.
