I have to agree... the S&W is hard to beat!
    ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

    superior skills."

I voted the 40 cal I've shot the 27 good shooter, its also less recoil than my 45 p12. For a subcompact, and fast followup shots a 40 cal would be a better choice then the 45.
    Now I am a 45 man love 1911 SA smooth !!!!!!!
Wheel guns I love them too grew up with them, for carry I'll take 7 to 10 rounds over 5 to 6 anyday.
Camping, etc then its a wheelgun 357 or bigger 4 inch barrel mim.
IMHO thats all this is my opinion.
    Take care
    Jack

Iím thinking of buying a S&W chiefs special. Traded mine in on a Walther PPKs and while I love the PPK, I regret trading the little Smith.

So it will be my next purchase.

Whew, I was afraid this was going to be a tough one. Glock 30 for the win! 30SF if it feels better in your hand. With my bear claws, they feel about the same. I love my G30. It's my favorite Glock next to my G19.

G30 in a Minotaur MTAC = Pretty comfortable carry rig with a punch.

I own a SW 642 and while it is nice to stick in a coat pocket when I'm "not carrying", I never carry it as a primary gun. "But the average gunfight only lasts 3.2 seconds and 2.7 shots are fired!" That may be but if there are 2 or 3 perps/dogs/zombies running in a pack, I'm not going to be happy about the J-frame in my hand.

I have a G27 that is extremely comfortable in my MTAC. It shoots well and is easy to conceal. Carry a G22 mag and you can have 25 or 26 rounds at you disposal. The G30 is a little thicker but wouldn't be a bad choice either.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

    Since I just bought a 26 I'll put a vote in for the 27, but I have a s&w M&P 340 and I love it. Thats a pretty tough choice.
