I just bought my first gun ever.

Glock 23, picked it up this afternoon after doing some research and trying a couple different guns. Never bought any gun before, I'm so stoked. I couldn't even wait for my permit to get here before I bought it.

You will love it. Power, size, and rugged durability, I believe it is one of the most well rounded fighting handguns on the market, with a close second the G19. You will not be disappointed. Welcome to the CCW club.

Congrats, the Glock is a fine gun. Be sure to read and understand fully , as well as take safety courses.

Understand right off the bat the most important gun safety of them all: The gray matter between your ears.

Enjoy the gun, it is a fine weapon to be sure. Do yourself a favor; if you cannot afford private instruction, look up a local IDPA or IPSC club in your area. They are easy to find, and you can learn very quickly safe gun handling methods from the folks there.

Good luck to you and welcome to the club. Just remember that to be useful, your weapon must be accessible at all times. It is also like having a child, because you need to keep track of it at all times and maintain control no matter what.

Congrats on the G23. They are a fine weapon indeed. Be careful though, glocks have a tendency to reproduce and in different calibers too.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

Just a word to the wise. Glocks are like rabbits. Before you know it, your one Glock multiplies into 5 or more. NOT that I would know from experience.

Welcome and congrats on the G23! The G23 was my first Glock and I still have it to this day. Matter of fact it is my bedroom nightstand gun (I sleep very well at night knowing it is there).
