There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

I think I would rather take the chance on him breaking my gun than to try and give a cat a bath. That could be dangerous.

Sure, I'll shoot with you. Of course it would be boring, I shoot Glocks too. I doubt we could break anything.

There are people in this world who are surprised when CZs and KelTecs break but Glocks don't?

Doesn't seem tied to anything, but on one round the reset will be Glock-like in the distance of travel required, whereas on the next round it'll be nearly to full extension. Bad, bad, bad. Needs a little further exploration, but I don't think it will last long in the safe.
Perhaps you guys are short-stroking the trigger? Discussed in this thread, beginning at post 5:

The world's a big place. CZ and KelTec are also completely different animals. It's not as though there's Glock ... and all else.

The CZ P-01 is fantastic. I am simply unfamiliar with what to look for yet, only having put ~3500rds through it so far. One thing I've asked for is a checklist that non-gunsmiths can review, given what the P-01 can have happen. Hopefully this will keep such mundane issues such as loose screws from impacting anything in future.

Keep in mind what the exercise is, too. (Though, you might not be aware of my exercise, in this regard.) I'm in the middle of a review of various platforms and models, to see what the "right" combination will be for me. Can't do that without experimenting, pounding each one to see what will work over the long haul. In a broad survey of possible guns, not all will be perfect. Some, such as the KelTec, have a restricted mission and the expectations are appropriately aligned with that.

Nope. Thought of that. During testing, all trigger movements were with full release, to check exactly that. It's not the operator.

I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

This will head to a gun-brand war. And the world is a big place, full of brands/models of guns that work reliably and those that don't.

Ed: FWIW, I don't carry or even own a Glock. My SIG runs like a top as well, and I love it, but in the end I carry it because it's what "they" give me.

I would say it's a loose nut "behind" the trigger that caused it to break.

Not all of a given kind do or don't. There are odd lots and examples in every make of gun, though agreed that the probabilities drop with certain designs.

The CZ 75 series is one of those. They tend to be highly reliable, on the whole. They're known for it.

Anyway. Am not interested in bandying brands, either. That goes nowhere, fast.

Oh, so do I, partly 'cause he seems so willing.

We'll have to toss everything at him, next time at the range, to see what he can do. I'm sure it's all a mistake. Luck of the draw. The roll of the dice.
