    Talking Thanks USCCA!

I checked my email on5/7/08 and saw I had a message from the USCCA, it said to call with in 24 hours and that I "would not regret it". I checked the time and saw I missed the 24 hour deadline by a good hour, I replied to the message saying I hope I didn't miss out on something good. The message came back saying "Hey! I am behind schedule, lucky for you- why don't you call me as soon as you can". I made the phone call, it turns out I was the random pick winner for the Referral Contest. I was told that I won a pistol! As I was trying to remember the handguns listed for the contest I was told that they would just send me a check for $800. All I have to do is take a picture of myself with the handgun and email it to them.

It took what seemed forever for the check to arrive, but it was only 16 days. I was like a three year old waiting to visit Toys R Us. I new I wanted a 45 ACP and was looking at the Taurus, I haven't shot a 1911 since my first year in the Marine Corps.

I visited Hart Brothers Weaponry on Friday and took a look at the Taurus and a few others. The Para Ordnance caught my eye, the fit and finish blew the Taurus away in my opinion. I added a little money of my own and left the shop with the Para PXT and 350 rounds of ammo.

I hope to get out to the range on Tuesday for the initial firing, but I may have to wait until Saturday.

Once again, a big THANKS to the United States Concealed Carry Association!

Very nice indeed! Congrats on your prize winning and good luck with your new pistol. I'd be willing to do away with my Christmas list if I got a new pistol for free in May!

Very sweet pistol. Good choice. How long have you been a member of USCCA?
I would rather sit before 12 than be carried by 6

When you're ADD ADHD and just plain wishing the USPS was as fast as email 16 days can be a lifetime,I bet you looked like this guy
