    Got my first CCW gun

Well I am now the proud owner of a Walther PPS. My dad bought it for me when I returned back from Kuwait for my R&R. He gets home in about 45 minutes and then we are going to the range to break her in. Also my wife just started shooting and actually enjoys it. I'm one happy camper.

Well I took it out to the range today. Didn't have much time to do it. I put at least 50 FMJ's through it and about 30 fully leaded bullets. I'll be honest, going from a full size Beretta 92 that we carry at work to this little gun...it scared the crap out of me. My dad even said it. It barks LOUD. I need to figure out how to aim it. I was getting good groupings at 7 yards but they weren't where I was aiming. I was aiming at the head and ending up in the neck. I'm wondering if it needs to be aimed like the H&K's. I read with them that you need to aim in the center of the forward sight. I'll keep shooting it to get the hang of it. I did have on FTF with the FMJ's, but that was me limp-wristing it. And she did not like the fully leaded bullets. But still it is in the break in period so that may all change. The gun feels very comfortable to shoot. I was a little concerned about the weight but that isn't an issue. My father also likes it alot but says he will probably get the Kahr PM9, or Kel-tec for his CCW.

I appreciate all the thanks. You're very welcome. And its the PPS so its in 9mm.

Welcome and congrats on the pistol. I've been very interested in the PPS, but it's a bit out of my price range at the moment.

Thanks for your service and dedication!
