Lint filled pics of super custom Colt in 38 S/9X23-9MM

Here is one that has been in the shop and in the works for a long time. Please please excuse the lint. The blueing on this is perfect as is the pistol. It is a series 80 Colt Government that started out as a 9X23 unsupported. It is now a 3 caliber (38 Super/9X23/9MM) two barrel full house custom. And yes I will get some better pics as time allows. Here are some details:
    10-8 3 Dot Night Sights
    EGW Ignition
    Schuemann Barrels in 38 Super-9X23 and 9MM
Golf balled front strap and MSH (courtesy of Chuck@Rogers Precision)
    Colt Beavertail
    Scalloped and Ball cut slide
    Midnight Blue finish
High Polish Flats on slide and frame
    Slightly rounded butt
Hand hardfit on barrels and internals
    40 LPI slide stop serrations

And so on. I love classic blue Colts with walnut grips.

    Enjoy!

It is not quite done but as always thanks! The customer wants to try a full beavertail and a different trigger. The Colt black plastic trigger is not impressive.

In looking at these pics again they just don't do the gun justice. I PROMISE to clean the gun better and take the time to learn this new camera. I ask myself if I would post these pics on my website and the answer was a resounding NO!!!!

It's too nice to holster and far too spendy to carry.
I'm loving the look though, all business and the idea of Schuemann barrels in in the calibers you selected are _exactly_ what I've been thinking to do with my own SA 9x19 1911.

    Excellent.

All you need to do is get yourself a 38 Super barrel recoil spring and some mags. I am assuming that your SA has a supported barrel? If not, you will be ok with the 38 Super and perhaps not with the 9X23. I personally don't like shooting with the pressures presented by the 9X23 in an unsupported barrel, but I know that it is done and perhaps yo will have good luck with it. It is a crap shoot on the barrel taking both calibers so I cannot recommend one brand over the other. Perhaps a Kart EZ fit or another semi drop in. If not you can send the barrel to me and I will fix the chambering to accept both for just the cost of the shipping. I know at least you will need to change the recoil spring to about 20 lbs and I would suggest putting in the EGW firing pin stop with the bottom square with only the back edge broken and rounded. This will decrease the speed of the slide and help with the hotter loads. I have built several guns in the 9X23 and I have to tell you that I think that if you are of the small and fast school of thought for carry, a 1911 Commander in this caliber is a rocket! I have shot several of the Commanders that I did in this caliber and it is far and away my favorite round for carry if I don't have access to a .45. And talk about firepower, I am working on a custom Caspian double stack built around a Para bottom end in 38 Super. 22 rounds of 9X23 HOLY
