    S&W 642 -vs- 642 Lady Smith?

Friends- that is the difference between the two other than the LS has a wood grip and is engraved "Lady Smith"? There has to be something on the inside to get the $150 more. Thanks.

I'm not an expert but I do own a 642 w/CT grips and as far as I know there is no difference other than the pretty grips.
IMHO you might consider the gun w/CT or another type of grip. It will help to absorb the recoil.

It's the estrogen alloy. Men have been paying extra for it since time began.

Well, a while back I heard that the springs were slightly lighter in the LadySmith in order to lighten the trigger pull a bit.
    Is that true...or not?
    I don't know - only that it's what I heard.

As I understand, if you are secure enough in your manhood, the LS is an excellent choice for smaller hands. Ditto on the CT stocks for felt recoil and the laser is cool to tease the cat with. (The last part is a joke. Ya'll know better than to muzzle your daughter's cat.)

I almost bought one 5 years ago for myself, ended up buying a used 36 instead.

I seem to remember it having a mild dehorn job.
