I'm not an expert but I do own a 642 w/CT grips and as far as I know there is no difference other than the pretty grips.
IMHO you might consider the gun w/CT or another type of grip. It will help to absorb the recoil.

Well, a while back I heard that the springs were slightly lighter in the LadySmith in order to lighten the trigger pull a bit.
Is that true...or not?
I don't know - only that it's what I heard.

As I understand, if you are secure enough in your manhood, the LS is an excellent choice for smaller hands. Ditto on the CT stocks for felt recoil and the laser is cool to tease the cat with. (The last part is a joke. Ya'll know better than to muzzle your daughter's cat.)
