I wasn't going to post on the LCP because I think it has been reported on well over the past few months. However, I just took mine to the range for the first time since I picked it up, and I was very impressed with it.
I owned a SW380 when they came out and I was very unhappy with it so I was leary about picking this one up. It shot beautifully!! Very low recoil and the accuracy was far better than I expected.
The first few shots were just to feel recoil, not really trying for accuracy. It was point shooting and its accuracy is what I expected for point shooting. Once I started sighting...I was thinking I was lucky, but they kept landing in the same spot.
I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for the pocket pistol.
I enjoy mine now that all the bugs are worked out of it. I'm amazed at the accuracy of this little point and shoot pocket gun. I still need to get a good pocket holster and then it will be my everyday summer carry.
“They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security” Benjamin Franklin I'm not pro gun, I'm pro rights. What are you?
That's due to slower bullet speed and earth rotation , by the time the round gets to the target the earth rotation has moved the target that much
Oh c'mon guys... I NEVER take Dukalmighty seriously! Just kidding, of course, but I do appreciate the gravity of your answer.

Also, I think your choice of the LCP is great. Have had mine for a few months now, and love it.
Any more word on the LCP breaking after 100 or so rounds?
so far I have had no prob with mine but more then a few people have been posting to that effect!!!

I can tell when I shoot mine it is not the most accurate gun, my first shot patterns where all high, but they may come from the lack of a front sight or at least not much of one. But aimed just a hair lower and I can hit fine now that I adjusted to it. Overall I would say I am still impressed with the Ruger LCP for the price. Feels way better build quality then a Kel Tec! Kel Tecs feel like plastic junk to me.
It is interesting that so far I have heard or read very little negative feed back on this gun. That is not the norm for a small gun like this and certainly not the norm for a Ruger gun in my experience.
I am intrigued enough about this gun that I now find myself thinking of getting one of my own in the not too distant future.
