    What to do....

So I want to get a new gun. I want a S&W 340PD. My wife has a Colt Defender w/ a laser. She don't want it any more.. So should I trade her Colt for the S&W? OR should I trade my Beretta 92G-SD w/ 15- 15RD mags?

Or you could keep her Colt Defender and your Beretta and buy the S&W 340PD. I think there is a general consensus that you should never really get rid of a gun.

You'd better ask her... ...after all it is her gun.

+1 I try to not get rid of any gun. If you can afford to just buy it, I would do that.

If I absolutely HAD to trade one of those guns, it'd be the Beretta. That's just me though, I had a bad experience with a 92fs and it soured me on the brand. If at all possible, keep both guns and add a 340 to the collection ... layaway is your friend!

Keep the guns you already own if at all possible. I have many regrets when thinking about some of the guns that got away from me.

Just some food for thought, you may want to hang on to your Beretta and the high capacity magazines.

If we get a dem as president and with a dem led congress, the assault rifle ban may make a comeback big time with magazine capacity limited to 10 rnds. or less!
    God bless our troops!

Agree, assuming it's a reliable gun.

The Defender and the 340 somewhat fit the same " niche " if you are limited on $$ and not dead set on the snubby right now . What i would say is that if you are finding the size of the Beretta limiting for carry , then start carrying the defender until you can save up for the snubby assuming the defender is a " nightstand " gun you can short term trade it for the beretta while you rathole enough money to purchace the snub . If she carries do not get into here 2% by trading/taking over her gun lol .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

I agree. If you can afford to at the time, I would just buy the S&W.
