If I'm not mistaken, Remington Rand acquired the machinery from Singer (sewing machines) after Singer produced 500 pistols. Which, by the way, are some of the most valuable guns around (because there were only 500 made).

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

You're correct Matt, Singer's equipment was place in the "equipment pool" at Rem-Rand on, 25 May 1942.

Remington Rand was formed Jan. 1927, from the Remington Typewriter Co.

I saw one of these Daewoos at a gun show. It looked stout. I was tempted to buy it just to match my TV and VCR.

had a buddy that at different times owned both the 9mm pistol and the .223 sidefolder , the .223 was a fairly slick little rifle it had an adjustable gas system that if you " accidently " mal tuned you would get consistent doubles to triples out of it with a single trigger pull lol took ar mags too . The " fast action " 9 was a strange bird , i didnt play with it that much but basicly you pushed the hammer foreward , to about 2/3 or 3/4 of down the trigger would return foreward also a very light pull on the trigger would recock the hammer to fullcock and then was standard single action to fire i frankly wasnt real impressed with the action , aside from the fact his example struggled to make it thro a full mag of ball without giving the operator the finger ( stovepiping ) hope the info helped satusfy some of the curiosity lol
