Picked up my new 340 M&P 357 today!!
I'm so in love with this gun!! It weighs almost as much as my cell phone. I'm so excited of not having to always strap my G23C on everytime I walk out of the house. I like the option of just being able to slide it into my pocket. The holster is a $10.00 standin until my Nemesis shows up. WOOT!!
I don't try anything...I just do it!

Nice. They are featherweights

just curious... do people really shoot 357 mags out of those lightweights? After shooting 100 rounds of 45 ACP in my lightweight Colt commander, a handful of 38 +p (not 357 mag) rounds in my 642 made the 45 feel like a pellet gun!
Nice gun by the way.

I shot a couple of rounds the other day, you won't see me shooting any more .357s in it. It passed function testing, I think I'll stick with the .38+Ps. My followup shots with .357 were all over the damn place.
And that was with bigger Hogue grips.

Nice gun... congrats.....
I love the Taurus 605 (not considered a feather-light)... similar revolver in size.... and there is no doubt when you are shooting a .357 in it vs a 38 +P.
The kick... well, big difference.

I always chuckle a bit when I read posts by guys who have just bought something like this and intend to load up with 357 magnums.

+1... I really like the shorter bantam grips from a concealment standpoint and it's rough enough to shoot +p's out of that little puppy. I just can't imagine shooting 357's out of a light gun. Seriously, my steel chunk of an L-Frame S&W that weighs in at around 40 ounces bucks like a chapped off bull with 357 mags!
Let us know how that puppy shoots!

I think I fondled one of these yesterday! Is that the one with the removeable top strap and the barrel can be changed/removed?
If it is, man its light! Sweet feel to it and I am considering one myself. $800 for the one I looked at. Thats a bit high for my wallet at the moment.

I'm not sure what you mean about the removable topstrap, nor a removeable barrel. But yes, the price range is correct...$806 to be exact plus tax...It is very light too. 8)
