Before I saw the kahr online I wanted the ruger LCP but then when I saw it the ruger idea droped like a rock. But it just seems like it's going to be a long wait, they were saying June before weren't they? Now August?? Then you'll have to get on a waiting list, I might just get the ruger, and also save some money.

Don't waste your time driving around looking for one. They won't be out until at least August.

And no, you are not the only one that is excited about this new pocket rocket. They are trying to get the kinks worked out of the first gen prototypes.

No, you are not the only one. I really like my CW9 and am thinking of getting the 380 for my wife to carry in her purse. The SP101 she has is a little heavier than she likes. Her purse normaly runs about 8 -10 lbs just with her normal "stuff". A woman thing I guess.

Any more info about it? I love the Kahr CW9 I had,and I won't go into details about how I don't possess it anymore (stolen).

I traded my p3at for it, but now Im wondering other than the obvious quality advantage Kahr offers, what else would be of benefit? I'm almost thinking I'd suck up the extra size for the kahr pm9.

Just curious, but was wondering why some of you would be interested in a 380 when you can get a 9mm in the same sized package. Am I missing something here or do you just want the 380?

Because it isn't the same sized package. The Kahr .380 is roughly the same size as a Ruger LCP or a Kel-Tec.

The P380 is significantly smaller and lighter than the PM9. Five ounces and a half inch might not seem like a lot, but for pocket carry or women's purses it will make a difference.

You can see the comparison here:
    Kahr Arms / .380 Models / P Series

Unless of course you were talking about the Rohrbaugh which is about the same size and weight as the P380, but you are going to pay twice as much.

I have a PM9 and that is why I want the Kahr 380, they are nice little guns. I had a Rhorbaugh and it was nice....but not very reliable. It FTF'd too much. I wouldnt trust my life on it so I sold it. It was a prettl little 9mm though!!!!!

There is a noticeable difference between a 9mm and a .380 in terms of recoil, especially in compact guns. For me, anyway.

I have a bad wrist and the extra weight of my Bersa Thunder combined with the ease of the 80gr. CorBon DPX makes for a much easier shot. For me to comfortably and accurately shoot a 9mm it would have to be more along the lines of a CZ-75, which is too big for my preference in a carry pistol.

Thanks for sharing why you would choose a Ruger 380.
Once again a question, is the Ruger that much smaller than the Kahr smaller pistol, what is it, their C9?
By the way, I respect your descisions on what you carry, I am just looking for information.
