So what did you think of that LDA trigger? I need to rent one and shoot.

Very nice. I like my Para Carry 9. The trigger is sweet. Overall the gun is a great shooter.

Man, those are some nice looking guns. I've owned a Hawg 9 for awhile by them, and I swear by it. They sure do make some nice 1911s =D

does your para like to eat hollowpoints w/o hiccups?

So far... it has. I've put 100 fmj, and 50 hollowpoints without a problem. I've used Hornady XTP, Speer Gold Dots, and Federal Hydrashock and I haven't had a problem.

I'm going to the range again tonight and run another couple of hundred rounds through it. About half will be hollowpoints. If it passes tonight without any problems, I'll add the PDA to my carry lineup.

I have a Carry 9 that hasn't been as easy. It's been back to Para twice to work through a feeding problem with hollowpoints. If the gun was loaded 8+1, the first shell off the mag would nose dive into the feed ramp. All subsequent shells would feed OK. If the mag was set up 7+1, no feeding problems. This was consistant across all of my magazines.

    Defensor,

Wow. I just watched a bunch of Youtube videos of Penn and Teller. I just assumed they were left wing gun control freaks. Quite the contrary. Thanks for the link.

WOW, that's nice. Is this about the same size as the Springfield EMP? What do these cost and where do you purchase Para? I've never seen one at any local dealer.

I found it online on Bud's Gun Shop. I think it was about $730 after delivery fee +the ffl transfer fee.

The finish on this gun sucks. It is already wearing off. Nothing a can of Wheeler's Ceramacoat can't take care of though.

I actually got this over the EMP because I didn't like the two tone, and I know that these guns are sweet shooters with the LDA. It is also a bit cheaper than the EMP. Not crazy about the stock sights. But I prefer Meprolight sights, or Trijicons anyways. If Para's are good enough for Todd Jarrett, they are good enough for me.
