Additional Austrian Hardware-Steyr
Courtesy of CDNN, I bought a Steyr M-40A1 w/3 mags for just over 390$.
Wow what a great gun. I had to sell my S&W 637 but this was the gun I almost got before the 637 and I've been kicking myself ever since.
The ergonomics on the gun feel great. I really liked the trapezoidal sights, it does seem that they help w/target aquisition from playing around w/it..
Another thing that I really like is the trigger is a little smoother than my Glock 23's and the reset on it is very light, just the faintest of clicks..
I have to get a holster for her than it'll be time to get her in the rotation..
Range report in a week or so..

I liked the Steyr that I had. It was a 9mm. The sights take a little getting used to but once you do they are very fast to align. I've always thought the Steyr was a sleeper in the gun world. Very dependable just not very well known.
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

Great choice!! My Steyr has been 100% problem free, I love it!
If you haven't already, go to Steyr Club. Lots of good info.

A friend of mine has one. He let me shoot it. Very nice. And interesting sights, to say the least.

+1 Sold my nine last year. Big, fat regret. Picked up a .40 last month. It is a sleeper. Accurate, perfect handling, eats ammo, and cheap!

Good guns, but nearly impossible to get holsters, mags, or spare parts.
